Nutrition

Our kitchen is the heart of the centre, where our talented chef creates healthy, well-balanced and nutritious meals, so you know your children are eating well every day, without you having to worry about packing lunches!

Nutrition is so important for young children as it is directly linked to all aspects of their growth and development. We are also mindful of any food allergy or intolerance your child may have.  Please specify these at time of enrolment.

On a specified day, we have a centre wide Lunch Box Day.  The children thoroughly enjoy this and it promotes independence and encourages self-help skills in preparation for school.

We are striving towards a Healthy Heart Award, which means that we provide an environment that promotes healthy eating and physical activity. To find out more, visit this handy link from the Heart Foundation.

Each season, our menu is changed to suit the weather. We also want to make the most of delicious, seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables. So that your child tastes a variety of meals, our menu is on a 4-week rotation.

Curious about what your child is eating? Ask us for a copy of today’s menu.

Language Lessons

We are privileged to have a diverse teaching team made up of many cultures and languages. Each week some our skilled teachers take language lessons for our children. Learning a second language at a young age can improve problem solving and creativity as well as helping them to connect with other cultures and build tolerance. Benefits of second languages continue on later in life, enhancing future career opportunities.

French Lessons are held on Mondays & Tuesdays and Mandarin Lessons on Wednesdays & Thursdays.

Ballet Lessons

We are very fortunate to have a teacher from a local ballet school, visit our centre each week to take lessons for our children. This wonderful opportunity to learn ballet at a young age can help boost confidence, improve posture, coordination & flexibility, enhance focus and critical thinking skills. Learning to dance also promotes a healthy lifestyle, bonding, great work ethic as well as being a lot of fun!

Ballet Lessons are held each Wednesday at the centre.

Portfolios & Storypark

We use an awesome app called Storypark, which allows whānau to follow their child’s early learning journey and to ensure you don’t miss out on important centre communications.

Photos, videos and audio capture your child’s learning so you never miss a treasured moment again. You and your family can also feel more engaged in your child’s development, and you decide who you would like to invite to experience your childs learning journey with you. A perfect way to share those special moments with loved ones down the line or overseas.

Although we love to use Storypark as an online platform to communicate with parents, we also use paper portfolios for each child.

Children enjoy finding their paper portfolio and reflecting on their past activities at the centre. It is a fantastic way for children to engage in self-recognition and reflect on their personal development, as well as being a treasured keepsake for their 21st Birthday!

Contact us, book a tour or join our waiting list,
we’d love to hear from you!

We understand that your child’s education & care is a priority and that choosing the right centre can be a big decision. We would be delighted to share in your child’s learning journey. Feel welcome to contact us in whichever way is most convenient for you, or visit our centre and meet our Teaching Team!
